History and Background

Fringe Benefit was created in 2000 by Troupe Leader Peg Eckert of North Brunswick. Since its inception, the troupe has evolved to include many new members, an expanded song performance list, dance moves influenced by many cultures and the use of props such as swords and veils....not to mention our notorious vaudeville style performances.    

Mission Statement 

Fringe Benefit is an American Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Troupe...Fringe Benefit's mission is to not only provide entertainment to the general public but to change perceptions by showing that all women are beautiful, strong and capable of anything regardless of their age, physical attributes or abilities all the while dispelling the myths on what Belly Dance is really all about.
